PROCESSING TIMES

Orders at Lumus Candles are typically processed within 1-3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays, upon receiving your order confirmation email. Our small team in Edmonton, Alberta, ensures your orders are prepared with care.

SHIPPING WITHIN CANADA

Shipping fees are calculated automatically at checkout, and all Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post. We're delighted to offer FREE standard shipping for all Canadian orders over $150 before tax, applied during checkout. Once your order is processed, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking information to become available.

Please be aware that any delays occurring after the shipment is received by the shipping provider are beyond our control. Due to ongoing world events and a surge in online orders, Canada Post and our mailing partners are facing significant shipping and processing delays. While we can't guarantee precise delivery times, we appreciate your patience during this period.

ORDER STATUS

Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive an email notification from us containing your tracking number, allowing you to monitor its status. If, for any reason, you haven't received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, kindly reach out to us at info@lumus-candles.com, providing your name and order number. We'll promptly investigate the issue for you.

DAMAGES AND OTHER ISSUES

Upon receiving your package, please inspect it thoroughly. Any damaged or lost packages need to be reported to the shipping carrier, as we lack control over what happens during transit. Our candles are meticulously packaged, utilizing materials like tissue paper, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap to ensure their safety.

If, however, you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please notify us within 48 hours of arrival by emailing info@lumus-candles.com. We will assess the situation and make it right. To assist our evaluation, please provide photographic proof of damage, along with your receipt or proof of purchase.

Please note that due to the soft, creamy nature of our coconut-apricot wax, minor melting may occur in transit during summer or while shipping to hot-weather locations. This is normal and does not compromise the candle's quality. If the entire candle melted and leaked, please contact us following the above process.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

At this time, Lumus Candles does not offer international shipping. However, as our business expands, international shipping may be a consideration. Stay updated by following us on our social media platforms for announcements and updates.

LOCAL DELIVERY

For our local customers we offer next day delivery if the product is in stock at the following rates:

  • $3.00 for addresses within 5 km of our studio.
  • $6.00 for addresses within 10 km of our studio.
  • $9.00 for addresses within 15 km of our studio.
  • $18.00 for addresses within 30 km of our studio.
  • FREE local delivery for orders over $75 before tax.

Delivery dates are available here, during checkout, and in your confirmation email post-order placement.

Order cutoff is two business days before the scheduled delivery day. Please ensure you provide the accurate phone number and the buzzer code for your building. We will contact you in the delivery day to confirm the delivery time.
If we cannot reach you - undeliverable orders will be available for pickup the next day, shipped at our prevailing rates, or canceled upon your request.

On delivery days, your order may be delivered between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You'll receive a notification or email when your order is out for delivery and once it's been successfully delivered.

For customers residing in condos or apartments, please note that we will not leave orders unattended in lobbies. It's necessary to have someone available throughout the day to receive your order or remotely allow us access to place it at your door. If this isn't feasible, kindly opt for local pickup or shipping. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!
